I guess.
It'd be nice to have someone else on the team that offers an elite skill. He's one of the 2-3 best defensive CF in baseball. With a .720 OPS, he's more valuable than anyone else we can get to play CF in the near future.
Shit with his career (all of 918 PA) .708 OPS, he's already been a 7.3 WAR player.
He's better than anything we've had in CF in years. In fact his 4.8 WAR last season would be the best WAR by a CF in the history of the franchise (no one's ever topped 4).

Mainge, you're really comfortable writing his last year off based on one shitty month and not enough playing time for his numbers to recover?
Just a total fluke?
And again, he offers an elite skill (defense) which would give our position players a total of 3 (Stanton's power, Bonifacio's speed).

To be honest, though, I'm now a lot more for it than I was. Doesn't matter though because Angels aren't giving him up for Nolasco & Buck.
