It's way too early for this stuff.

But this season so far has definitely been about as appealing as watching bobbob eat wings.

And someone is tweeting to JCR that the Marlins should call up Yelich and replace Stanton with him...

You used to not be mean to me sometimes. What happened to us?

I quite like Preston Wilson in the post-game show.

It's not about the way this season started, or about the way the last one ended.

Fire Mallee or Bill Robinson or Eduardo or Edwin any other popular cries for a fix...the common thread is Beinfest hired all of them.

He's failed miserably in the draft, I don't think anyone here will dispute that.

His roster assembly has always been pretty poor (and that's ignoring this year, since it is too early). We're seemingly always "all in" on one area and woefully neglectful of other areas.

My point is more that, if Beinfest's job is theoretically on the line this year (and, why shouldn't it be, he's no longer hamstrung by payroll limitations), it'd be beneficial for the team to make a move now, in advance of the draft, rather than to allow Beinfest another potentially wasted draft, especially with us having the #9 pick.

By all accounts, many agreed he put together a strong team as this season started. Bullshit it's not about how this season has started, don't give me that crap.

MH, you've posted here a long time. When have I ever been a fan of Beinfest's?

Should we fire all the scouts in the organization too?

I'd absolutely clean house on baseball operations.
                        --------------------
But I'd have done that after basically giving up on the Cabrera trade.

We've done this an insanely high amount of times. I don't think he's been "miserable" or anything close to it. He's been about average, maybe a little bit below.

He's been bad in the first round, but has made up for it beyond that.

                          Never.

Which is kind of the point.

How is me knowing you aren't a fan of him going to make me understand your theory on him being on the "hot seat" right now? I think it's an asinine comment to believe that's the case. You just said it had nothing to do about how the season has started. So by that you mean that you would still have said the same thing if the team was 13-5?

There's just no good excuse for how woeful we've been in recent years in the draft and trades. Save for Theo's sabbatical we've done jack shit since 2004 (except for Pierre for Nolasco+). And if you didn't like the LoDuca trade, we've done jack shit since 2002 (Pavano).

If I quit mentioning you at all, that's when you should worry.

We were 11-6 after 17 games last season. Just to totally slam home how meaningless a record 17 games in is.
