The Marlins did not speak in Milwaukee to the agent for shortstop Jose Reyes, who is considering the team's offer. One source said a reported figure of $90 million over six years for was "close" to but less than the actual offer.

The Marlins' offer to first baseman Albert Pujols is for "significant money" over nine years, according to a source. The total dollar amount could not be confirmed but the source said it was below $200 million. Some reports had speculated that the Marlins offered more than that.

So, really we don't know what anyone has been offered, aside from the fact they've received offers.

Last time I checked the Marlins still need to sign a few pitchers while retaining the talented ones they have. Therefore signing or trading for a pitcher does not mean that Ricky or Anibal has become expendable.
