I have met the guy actually once, 10(ish) years ago(he and a buddy needed their truck pulled out of a ditch about a mile north of my house when they got stuck deer hunting), but I do not "know him". Theres a difference between Buehrle and any other free agent is that he has based his entire career around staying where he has always been by taking less money and still living in(or close to) his hometown. The only other team he has ever been linked to is St. Louis. Want all you want, it just wont happen.

More like hes lived where hes at his entire life, is raising a family there, and has taken contracts under market value to stay put on more than one occasion. So its entirely logical that he would do a complete 180 and sell his services to the highest bidder, uproot his family, and move 3000 miles to a team that was several different shades of awful the year prior just because they are throwing money at him.
