      Oppo shot again today.

So if he's hitting for average and effectively using the whole field, and we're pretty sure the K's are going to dog him no matter what......what's left?

He probably won't outperform any of the outfielders we are planning on starting this season anyways, so there's nothing to lose by keeping him down and hoping he figures out the K problem or develops killer strike zone judgement and turns into Ryan Howard.

Well, let's not do that for the 1994095010385th time.

I think you are being very overoptimistic about a guy with gigantic question marks. Spring Training is not the time to decide to call Mike Stanton up.

He's got all over the field power. He's not just developing it, he has it. The power is absolutely not the question, and the question cannot be answered based on a couple dozen spring training at bats. He's "hitting for average" in what, 18 plate appearances?

Are we really at the point where we want to say "Hey, Cameron Maybin/Cody Ross, sorry. 19 PAs and we're sold!"

Send him to AA or AAA until June. If he's killing it down there, bring him up and make a spot for him, ala Cabs and Cogs.

There will be room for him in July if he absolutely has nothing left to prove. Someone will be hurt/struggling/we can make a trade (Uggla or Ross) to make room for him.

This is the textbook definition of rushing him. Especially with how badly he struggled in AA. I want to see him at least hit at every level.

It's Hermida all over again, and then when he struggles, everyone will hate him.

Let's atleast give Maybin the chance to be the new offensive whipping boy.

Yeah, we should most def start him in AA this season and wait until he's hitting like .400 in June to bring him up.

To people enamored with his spring production, look at Bonifacio the last 2 springs. It shouldnt be the determining factor on a player's promotion.
