baseball america has us with 5 top 100 guys. Sixto, Bleday, Gallen, Diaz, and Cabrera. Id have garrett and/or rogers in there too but im sure they are on the periphery and will be there once they play and have some success outside of jupiter.

Just for some context, the League Leader in the FSL right now for OPS has an .842 OPS. Riley Mahan and Lazaro Alonso and their mid .700s OPS' are in the Top 10.

Look, I think you have to be over the moon about Rogers' and Garrett's performance this year, but seeing them continue to do it once they get to AA like Cabrera has will really solidify them as top prospects in my eyes. (although Jacksonville actually has the fewest runs per game of any stadium in the minor leagues this year, but I'm going to chalk that up mostly to the pitiful lineup the Shrimp have been throwing out there)
Another way to view Jupiter pitchers is that they don't have the luxury of pitching against their own lineup, which strkes me as even worse than Jacksonville! Yes, pitchers tend to do well in the Florida State League, but a big part of that could be that teams don't tend to leave their top hitting prospects there for the most part. Note: The FSL hasn't been very kind to Will Stewart.

Kyle Tucker continues to ride high as a prospect ... but if you look at what Monte Harrison has begun to do. he looks overall better than Tucker (massively better defense).

im a homer and no, monte harrison doesnt look anything close to being better or even as good as tucker. Tucker will be a star once there is room for him in the astros stacked lineup.

Now that I look at it, seems the Southern League has been just as futile when it comes to scoring runs as the FSL this year.

Seems like the right 5 guys to me.

I'm absolutely surprised Gallen got a BA Top 100 mention. I mean he's definitely an MLB starter, but he's the type of guy who often gets ignored by the lists prior to becoming solid in the majors.

Also surprised Cabrera made the list, but he's 100% destined for the Futures Game next season.

Monte hurts his wrist, out 4-6 weeks it looks.

If that’s it, I’d say he progressed this season but still needs a lot of work

It may have bought Brinson another year, unfortunately. Crazy how we got 2 top CF prospects for the 2018 MVP, used our 2018 1st round draft pick and $6 million in IFA money on a CF and CF is still the position most up in the air right now.

Unmentioned since he was picked up by Miami: Tyler Heinemann, just turned 28 C from UCLA. Flat out excelling at New Orleans.

I've noticed. Just not sure he'll get a shot unless there's another injury. Alfaro's the guy and Holaday/Wallach have both been solid backups this year.

I suppose he could get a shot if there is a market for Holaday at the deadline and Wallach is not ready to play. Otherwise, he'll probably get some ABs in September.

Willkin Castillo is already on the 40-man, so they'd have to decide Heineman would be worth DFA'ing Castillo. Not saying they won't given Castillo's age, but if they want an extra catcher in September they may just decide it's easier to use Castillo.
