Prevailing logic is CC gets games 1, 4 and 7 (if necessary) since only game 4 would be on short rest; AJ 2 and 6 and Pettitte 3 and 3 only.

This means that to not short rest AJ or Pettitte, the Yankees will need to use a 4th starter in game 5 or hope for rain.

Like Matt Wilson, I was hoping for LAD/NYY (even though I was confident LAD would not make it to the World Series).

I am rooting for quality baseball, continued high quality umpiring and a Game 7 that goes into extra innings.

              NYY wins in 6 though

New York natives JAY-Z and Alicia Keys will perform their hit single “Empire State of Mind,” from JAY-Z’s #1 album The Blueprint 3, on the field at Yankee Stadium prior to Game One of the 2009 World Series on Wednesday, October 28. Following their joint performance, Keys will sing the national anthem.

Both performances will air on FOX, which begins its World Series coverage of the New York Yankees against the defending champion Philadelphia Phillies at 7:30 p.m. Eastern. An avid Yankee fan, JAY-Z has worn a Yankee cap in music videos, magazine photo shoots, and on album covers.

“As a die-hard Yankee fan, I’m honored to perform a song that celebrates the greatness of New York in one of our city’s most important landmarks, Yankee Stadium,” said JAY-Z.

I hope both team flights get redirected to DIA and both teams are abducted.

There is no way in hell i could ever root for the Yankees. Hopefully the Phillies sweep them.

Should be an awesome game tomorrow though, Jigga starting it off with a great song and Lee-Sabathia, any baseball fan should not complain about that.

Yea, seriously. I live in New York. Last thing I want is the Yankees winning. That and I have no friends that are Phillies fans and I don't exactly hate them anyway.

You should never root for a rival. Just wrong
