Just because he isn't that smart isn't enough reason to hate him. It does give reason to laugh at him though.

As someone that enjoys the game of baseball, it's impossible to like Joe Girardi for his in game management

As for him being a person, I don't care if he's Mother Theresa

No one will agree with this but, Girardi's in game management has gotten worse since his days with FLA. Not saying it was good in FLA just saying it has gotten worse.

As a quasi-Yankee fan and certainly a Yankee watcher, yeah, Girardi is 10 times worse in the AL than he is in the NL.

In the NL it was a situation where a move was warranted and he'd take a huge leap.

In the AL it's a situation where he can fill out a lineup, get pitchers up in the pen and get them in yet he turns it into an "empty the bench" game.

And, just as a snarky aside, I cannot imagine anyone disliking Girardi for his "intelligence" (or, as some believe, lack thereof) and in game over managing and botching yet thinking we're some how better off with curious george and the case of the compulsory double switch.

Somewhere Mac is whacking it to Chase.

I was there, and I just want to say thanks Michelle Obama for the incredibly over the top security detail for a needless first pitch.

Chase Utley is good, Cliff Lee might be gooder though

Yeah Cliff Lee was filthy. When the weather was clearly affecting CC's grip on his slider, to turn that kind of dominating performance (Lee) is really something.

It's going to be a great series.

Totally agreed. Haven't been this pumped about a Series (in its entirety) in a while
God would be expecting a first pitch breaking ball in the dirt because humans love to disappoint him.

A 6.3 rating with adults 18-49 and 19.5 million average viewers for game one had FOX cruising to victory for the night across all demos. It was the highest-rated (adults 18-49) and most-watched World Series game one in five years. It was also the highest World Series game since game four of the 2007 series.

                                having Jeter bunt

                                Girardi is the worst ever.
