    • Technically he's more reliable than the random twitter kid since we knew he worked for the Marlins. Whether he got correct information or not is another question all together. I post it and you do with it what you will.

Clearly that's where signatures will happen

                        • The other thing that bothers me about the comparisons to Tom Hicks is that, with Hicks, the Rangers already had revenue streams coming from the ballpark and banked on new, unconventional streams paying off. With the Marlins, we're getting things, parking, luxury suites, naming rights, that are not unconventional. If the Marlins really believe that 35,000 a night is real (and just based on Reyes and a healthy Hanley, I'd have to believe it is) this is entirely possible to fund just off what we expect in terms of suites, hot dogs and parking (crazy to think we got no money off these things). You bring Pujols into the fold, the unconventional marketing pays for him by himself.

                          • clearly the marlins are telling the Cardinals it is on like donkey kong!

                            • If they do sign him to this 10 year deal, it's clearly a business decision. Having a name like Pujols will almost automatically sell out your stadium on a day to day basis. That's not even including Hanley, Reyes, and Stanton which are massive stars.

Come to think of it, it makes sense that they haven't announced any stadium naming deals yet. With the team the way it is now, they'll be able to get a lot more money for the naming rights than they could have a couple months ago.

Sounds like Pujols situation is going to be decided in next 36 hours. #Cardinals are at a point where they need to know if he stays/goes.
