Meantime, they're working hard toward another addition. The Pujols talks are serious. So are those for a starting pitcher. One person close to the Marlins suggested Monday night that free agent left-hander Mark Buehrle actually is above Pujols on the club's wish list. Loria has told people that the club's payroll, roughly $45 million last year, could zoom to the $100 million range in 2012.

Very crazy they went to ten years. Thats the way MLB is now. You think NYY really want ARod for ten years? Of course not, but you have to pay that to get him. There was a rumor from the get go Pujols wanted AROD money and or the same type of contract. This has to heavily increase our chances of getting him. Obviously, its not the best move in the future. For the next five years it will be AWESOME...but after that...

This will bring much to the table in terms of fans and revenue....on another note how cool will it be to have Stanton/Ramirez/Reyes/Pujols and the Wade/Lebron/Bosh. If they can really trade for good SP like they say they will, and you have JJ/Anibal/NewGuy (hopefully Shields/Gonzalez) then there will be another star powered team in Miami.

if it happens i guess we just have to enjoy the ride now and see what happens in 2018.
