that's fair, and im still optimistic that sierra can become something. with regards to jones, i was referring to him as a granderson type pickup but you're probably right that he has earned a bigger contract than someone like granderson or someone else of that value.

MY top 2 targets in the offseason are rendon and then cole and then see where we are from there.

ya because its not even about his numbers, its about the fact that he looks completely clueless, without confidence, and on his heels in every single at bat. I havent seen him have more than a few good ab's since he came back up. the guy just isnt good. ive been for patience with him but at some point you just have to say the guy just cant play. it happens with prospects all the time. he's a good kid and id obviously give him the rest of the year, but if he doesnt show anything, which he wont, im all for moving on and flipping him for another struggling prospect from another team. it's not like he is 21, the guy is 25. it's possible and entirely likely that he just sucks.

I’m just playing devils advocate. I agree, Brinson looks terrible at bat. He hits A TON of weak foul balls that kinda just squib away. I felt bad for the poor guy when he hit finally murdered a ball and he got robbed at Colorado.

I haven’t looked at his numbers recently, has he been worse this year than last? That seems almost hard to do. I feel bad for the kid cause he’s my age from my area and I know I’d be absolutely fucking lost if I went through those kinds of struggles. He seems like a good guy too, just seems like he is unfortunately a aaaa player at this point

If you wanna give Brinson until lou's super cutoff date in June, fine as we've seen this year there's no use giving some veteran a bunch of ABs, you're not going to get anything at the deadline. After that it's Harrison's time to see if he can hack it.

Alternatively you could give Sierra those 2 months.

That's as far as I'd go absent real positive progress. They can definitely give Brinson, Sierra, Ramirez (and even Dean), April and May, and let them fend off Lewin/Jazz/Sanchez/Monte (as you can move around Anderson, Rojas, Berti, and Cooper, etc.).

I think we all know what's going to happen, but they aren't winning the world series in 2020 and swing for the fences with them.

No, Berti can play over someone else
No, Alfaro is a mild disappointment but he's still a fine catcher, even if he is maybe a great backup versus an average starter
That's ridiculous re: not wanting to see him, and especially against no upside-Holaday. Sure, give Heineman some Sep AB and see if you keep him
Yes with Diaz, but he's young and has struggled at every level jump. Patience.
