The burger and fries I got were pretty good. I didn’t notice the loud music you guys were talking about but I also wasn’t really paying attention to that. I was paying attention more to just how little of a chance the marlins hitters had at even making contact off kershaw

I’m looking at my maps now and at 2:50 pm in Coral Springs right off the sawgrass it’s a 56 minute drive to get to marlins park. No one is getting to marlins park from northern Broward during rush hour within 45 minutes

I routinely get to Marlins Park on a Sunday in 45 minutes. I can throw a rock into Palm Beach County from my front yard. That’s how far north I live in Broward County.

It took me 38 minutes to get to Marlins Park today from Weston.

The conversation was about the weekday games being moved to 6:40. If it's taking you 38 minutes from weston its taking you more than 45 on a weekday from the area we're from in northern broward. You're right that you can absolutely get there in 45 on the weekend most times. My overall point was that it just seems kind of like they dont have an awareness for this market. This town doesnt need an excuse to be late to everything. It also has a horrendous traffic problem, specifically in that 95/826 interchange. (i think its 826, never know which one is 826 and which one is 836 but regardless im talking about whichever one is next to the marlins park.) . It just seemed like kind of a stupid decision that seems to not be aware of the conditions and people in this market.

My family was a heat season ticket holder for 10+ years, and the number 1 lesson i learned was dont give miami fans less time to arrive before a game. It's a different crowd between a heat game and marlins game obviously, but it's the same for every team down here. Just seems like a non problem that they are trying to address that will inevitably just result in less people arriving. You obviously have a different opinion but i can tell you that switching from 7:10 to 6:40 start times will all but assure that i will not be going to week day games next year unless i dont have work for whatever reason.

good win today btw. Not sure what the hell happened though as i went into this event i had to go to after work with the marlins up 4-0 and came back to see a 20 run game.

        • Apparently Jeter/the Marlins are at least considering moving in the fences again:

MIAMI -- Marlins Park underwent a series of changes prior to the start of the 2019 season. Could the next major revision be moving in the outfield fences?

Marlins chief executive officer Derek Jeter didn’t rule it out this week when he addressed the media before Miami faced the Dodgers.

Asked specifically about altering the outfield dimensions, Jeter grinned and said: “Maybe.”

The Marlins rank last in the Majors in home runs with 100, with 50 of them coming at home.

Since Marlins Park opened in 2012, there have been 459 home runs hit there. Only Oracle Park in San Francisco (392) has fewer in that span.

“I don't want to start talking about things until we make a decision that that's what we're going to do,” Jeter said. “One of the things I've said is I don't want to make any promises we can't keep. If we say we're going to do something, we're going to do it.”

          • I’d be for it, at least in center field

            • Los Angeles Dodgers released a statement on the fences: “We are totally ok with keeping the fences as is”.

Some of those balls they hit on Wednesday were some of the hardest hit balls I’ve ever seen in person. The Rios one in particular had to have fucked up whichever seat it hit in the upper deck

                • Brinson just got robbed of a dead center HR. This poor kid can’t catch a break (although he has made at least 3 great catches in the last 4 games).

                  • i came here to ask if conley is tipping his pitches or something, but then i looked at his numbers, and it turns out he has just always sucked. his spin rates seem average, though, and yet that wolters guy smoked a perfectly located fastball like it had been placed on a tee.

and brinson just half got revenge on tapia, so that's cool i guess

                      • Can we be done with Noesi now?

Just call up Dugger (had a good AAA start last night) or even Daniel Castano from Jacksonville.
