I’m fine with Brinson failing as much as he wants these next two months, but Prado hitting into double plays is a waste of our time.

the fact that him and castro are still on the team pisses me off. Enough already. they fucking suck

on the bright side brian anderson is now up to a .783 OPS after a putrid start to the year.

granderson has similarly been putrid all year but i just like him. seems like an incredible clubhouse veteran presence

The only thing that would have been more awesome than that Diaz home run is if he dedicated it to Steve Irwin in the post game interview.

Not saying he wont produce, just that with his poor defense limiting him to 2B he almost has to consistently hit like he did the last 50 games at New Orleans to be a viable long term MLB starter.

I am not saying he didn't earn the callup, he did, just that I think it is fair to be more cautious.
If he hits like NOLA he's a 3.5+ WAR 2B like Uggla in the Marlins years. Also, it's unfair to say he had a high BABIP for a partial season when the BABIP was very low early in the year. He really averaged out. Probably over achieved a little, but that's fine.

Moncada had a .715 OPS last year and played below average defense, and he was a 2 WAR player. If all Diaz is, is a 2 WAR 2018 Moncada, that's a good solid longterm starter on club controlled prices. I am highly encouraged he hits over that with what he showed.

Mattingly with some foolish managing tonight and it backfired. He had Garcia up in the bullpen for Conforto in the 7th and didn’t use him.

I will never understand Mattingly. Since his first year here he overuses his pitchers. He was good on inning 1, and started to show signs on inning 2 and he still left him out there with 40+ pitches.

Mattingly is one of the worst in game managers of all time

Isan Diaz and Lewis Brinson went 1-14 yesterday. You can feel the buzz around town about the Marlins.

I've been told I could bankrupt any company overnight by merely buying a single share of its stock.

Just wish Alcantara could have been traded for Jazz instead of Gallen.

                            Trade wouldn't have happened.

That nasty slider is not effective when you can't throw it anywhere near the strike zone.
