Actually it was JD Davis who I commented on when the Mets got him from Astros for next to nothing. I suggested that the Marlins should have grabbed him because he'd probably be their best hitter. Turns out I was sorta right.

strasburg's career numbers against us are absurd. he always kills us. he's essentially got a full season's worth of starts, 33 games, going for win 20 tonight, 2.90 ERA, 1.09 WHIP, 197/53 K/BB ratio in 188 career innings.

we have the most consistent Sp's in the league in terms of seemingly always being able to go at least 5 and almost never going more than 6. that is the biggest question going forward with this group of SP's. Who is going to take the next step in their development and be able to not only put up 0's, but also go deep into games.

yadiel rivera has no business being on a major league roster. How does a guy have a career .460 OPS over the course of 5 different seasons and 248 ab's and continually gets chance after chance despite showing absolutely nothing?
