I think we are all on the same page here. This can be picked up in 12 months unless an absolutely unreal package comes in.

Someone is eventually going to blow out their arm and someone is going to fall apart. Multiple guys will turn into relievers based on performance. They need all of these guys to navigate those issues for the next year.

Speaking of that, where the fuck is Neidert?

Neidert tore meniscus. July/Aug is timetable back. No point in rushing him-come back in Aug and then AFL innings

      • I think we can take them with a grain of salt, but the Wolverine budgets are: $81 million in 2019 (they are under this by at least $10 million***), $84.8 million in 2020, $116 million in 2021 and $118.7 million in 2022. https://www.miamiherald.com/sports/s...192803579.html

I'd toss those Wolverine prospectus payroll numbers out the window. They are based on income projections that are coming up way short.

        • can we stop quoting that wolverine thing? That was a plan that was sent months before the ownership group bought the team and im pretty sure it's been reported that those numbers are no longer indicative of what their plans are future payroll wise.

I did scale them down $20+ million for the record.

They can do it with a $90 payroll next 4 years for sure. After that, the 18-20 drafts need to replace guys in 2024 to keep the party going for cheap.

That's a safe bet I think. I can see something like 80-90 million. The last version of "project wolverine" that the herald was able to get their hands on was a late summer 2017 document i believe. Obviously those attendance and revenue figures arent coming to fruition because duhhhhh so it just doesnt make much sense to quote this 2 year old document based on figures that had no chance of coming true and clearly havent.

anderson ran face first into the wall. not ideal. couldnt tell whether he just hurt his face or it looked like he might have jammed his hand. hopefully minor. In other news, Gallen in the limited amounts ive watched him doesnt look ready to finish batters off at the big league level.

INJURY UPDATE: Brian Anderson was removed from today's game with a right elbow contusion. He is listed as day-to-day.
guess running straight into the wall wasnt the intended route anderson was trying to take

this game is gonna get delayed soon from the looks of it.

didnt think it would be that soon. I understand we just got an hour of the game in, but why start this game if this was in the forecast?
