    Going for the sweep tomorrow.
Neither of those were Anderson's fault.

How was the 1st one Anderson's fault? 1st and 3rd you're running on a ground ball. If he hadn't run home it would've been a double play. The other one, literally hits the ball off the wall. Cooper, the runner at 1st should at least be at 2nd so when that ball goes off the wall he can easily make it to 3rd, guy on first not being able to make it to 3rd on a ball off the wall is not acceptable. Could you argue that Anderson should've seen where Cooper was in relation to 2nd base? Yeah, but the bigger mistake was made by Cooper.

There is no argument. It’s Anderson’s responsibility to know where Cooper is. Anderson is the trail runner. Stop it.

The other play (Anderson on 3B with no outs) is where you have a good argument. When that play happened I questioned why he has to go on contact with no outs there but the double play argument is definitely valid.

Do you disagree that Cooper should've been on 3rd on that play?

I'll concede both runners erred on that play, but Cooper's mistake led to Anderson's mistake.

Cooper isn’t a good base runner. He should have been on 3rd. But it’s unequivocally Anderson’s responsibility to make sure that Cooper is running to 3B before he (Anderson) runs to 2B.

              • Yamamoto may just salvage that Yelich trade after all. Not save it but he may make it look a little less lopsided.

                • Encouraging start from Yamamoto, clearly was lacking the command of his first two starts, but managed to only give up 2 runs and get us 5 innings.

It’s almost as if calling it the worst trade in mlb history before you see 75% of the return make their big leagues debut is shortsighted

                    • It’s almost as if deciding what Yamamoto is based on three MLB starts shortsighted.

Anyway, we are not good at base running. It’s almost as if getting on base very little when we started the season 10-31 made us forget basic fundamentals.

                      • Our non-Alfaro Catchers have combined for about an .800 OPS in 82 ABs. Like we all expected.

                        • Our starting pitching is good, but our bullpen is not.

Checks awards... 2018 NL MVP.... Checks stats.... at .345/.439/.751 in 2019... checks contract, 3/$40.5 after this season.

Good luck dying on this hill. We have seen everything we have need to see to know where this is going.

The four of them need 20+ cumulative WAR their club controlled years to move from it being Chernobyl to just bad. 25 is probably a fair breakeven at the time of trade, and if he keeps playing like 2018-now, 35+ will be needed for a breakeven. Breakeven. Not win. Breakeven.

Currently, they are in a negative WAR situation because of Brinson. Diaz looks good, Monte seems to be improving, Brinson is smashing AAA again, and Yamamoto may cut it as a back of the rotation starter, but this is asking a lot even with some hope. It's no offense to them, but they traded a guy whose going to be a top 5 player in baseball for those cheap seasons.

It's just not going to end well unless someone turns into an Uggla/Willingham and they get 1-2 Cody Ross contributors after that. Then, maybe we consider it a regrettable push.
