And yes we all know they were supposed to stink this year, but c;mon Jeter this is not fair to the fans who do pay money to see them....reduce the ticket prices is I think necessary....you shouldn't have to pay MLB prices for a AAA team.

I feel really sorry for the vendors at Marlins Park.....also for Severino & Holly.....there is only so much sugar coating you can do, and sometimes their commentary can be cringy in trying to defend the franchise. They clearly can't be really happy here.

agreed. I still see around what we got last year. Not gonna get around 70 like i thought coming into the year because the bats are just too bad and i think we are gonna be overly cautious with the starting pitching.

I honestly don’t care about the wins or losses
I would love love love Alcantara, Caleb, Pablo, Richards, and Neidert be the rotation next year and we consider at least two of them as rock solid # 3 SP. Whatever bat deficiencies there are will be fixed fast with Sixto, Stewart, Gallen, Yamamoto, etc. coming with free agency dollars for a veteran ace.
Trading Urena (who will be better even if not above a 4), and 1-2 of those guys who work out, could be trading 10+ years of cheap SP and they’ll get a fortune.

we're definitely poised to add a bat or 2 in free agency this year with Castro and Prado coming up after this year. I still maintain Ozuna on a 3-4 year deal and Abreu on a 1-2 year deal makes so much sense.

in three games in Cincinnati scored 1 run and 2 shutouts.
TO THE MIGHTY REDS
I'm guessing that soon Mattingly will be blamed, and end of the month, Posada is brought in to try to save some face.

Minor League teams stink too.....not any of them with a winning record......hey but in 2020 we'll be profitable, and isn't that what it's all about ?

For Albies, he's now a guaranteed millionaire and even with a significant injury he's got enough money to set his family up for life.
For the Braves, they potential save themselves tens of millions of dollars down the line in the event he breaks out like he is supposed to (although it's a steal if he plays like his age 21 season his entire life).
It's more a problem with the baseball economy than anything. Of course a 21 year old wants to take $40+ million, and of course the Braves are forward thinking on this one.

Interestingly:
The Marlins had baseball's lowest average attendance last season, 10,103, and the second lowest average local television rating, 1.26. Reported attendance was off 51%, but paid attendance was roughly flat, as the team did away with inflating attendance figures that often doubled the actual ticket sales.
Apparently the team lost 53M in 2018.
