You trade rp’s on bad teams who are at the height of their value. Barraclough is gonna be cishek 2.0 if they fail to trade him. Lucky for them they got lucky despite dealing cishek at the literal floor of his value, but it is a basic concept in running a baseball team. This is inexcusable not trading barraclough or dietrich

    • Note on Brigman

BA named him Seattle's Best Minor Leaguer in first half of seaso

      • Welp.....it's over barring some last minute announcements.

        • I don't have a problem with them not moving Barraclough right now if teams have lowered their offers based on his rough month. The mistake may have been not moving him earlier, when his value was at its peak, but there's no need to force a deal when he's under control. Not trading DD is worse to me, and holding on to Realmuto may end up being the biggest mistake.

Yep especially since means they passed on Robles. No clue how DD is still here

            • I'm the opposite. I don't mind keeping DD until our bats develop more (or not), but keeping Barraclough is dumb.

I would have traded Bearclaw,Conley, either DD or Bour. But price was high(control)

Just weird because its not like they were only talking to 1 or 2 teams.

Multiple teams were in on all 4 of them. Even Straily had multiple teams

                  I haven’t gotten a “done” yet.

                  Some hope?

Sure I would've liked that too, and gotten a bunch of good prospects. Trading 1 of the relievers was a must for me though. Dumb that they're all still here.

                    • I have more of a problem with Barraclough still being here. That seems like a huge missed opportunity. I mean we were talking about getting Mejia for him at one point.

Dietrich I mean you could probably re-sign him for 3 years/$5 million per in the offseason and still be super useful utility depth guy and it's not like he's old. You would think he'd be more useful to other teams but that must not be the case.

Dumber that they are putting Jarlin back in bullpen. So we have Conley/Jarlin in pen then Quijada,Lee,Jeff Kinley(all likely ML guys eventually in AAA)

                        • Schoop to brewers just announced. Still hope maybe.

Dietrich I can understand keeping until some of the of’s are ready but it is just so absurd that we kept barraclough if we don’t hear a move announced soon. We aren’t contending for another 2 years, his value will only decrease, and how many fucking prospects do we have in our system that are at their floor dominant closer type guys? It is just he height of asset mismanagement. I think they have some sort of deal hear soon though

For me, it's all about capitalizing on value, and making sure to sell high. Barraclough has been struggling. I wouldn't want to give a discount on that. DD might never have more value for us.

THis is how u TANK!! Trade everything on value and get ready for future. With Atlanta/Milwaukee trades probably tons of IFA $$

They will get #1 Pick(HS SS or College C) too
