Tip of the hat to Matt Adams - and not just because he's the only major leaguer from my alma mater, Slippery Rock University. Nats signed him for $4 million, just a bit more than Miami paid for Maybin. They have the same number of plate appearances this year (Maybin 138 to Adams 133). Maybin has produced no homers and seven rbi. Adams totals are 12 and 30. In fact, Adams numbers are about the same as Maybin, Dietrich, and Brinson put together ... in 504 plate appearances. Ouch.

Marlins went from most productive OF in baseball to ... Matt Adams.

It appears Prado is going to be out for a long time, perhaps the rest of the year. I feel terrible for him and now the Marlins lose any possibility of trading him. The curse of the Loria contracts continues.

My guess is Riddle comes up and he and Rojas split time at 3rd and SS. Riddle deserves to be on the MLB roster, but I would prefer they call Dean up and put Anderson back at 3rd.

Anderson has displayed solid defense in RF, but belongs at third (or even 2B, where I have read he can play). There's not enough pop in his bat to stay in RF long term IMO.

Please don't use a baseball forum to launch personal attacks. Participants share what they've heard or read or think ... about baseball and the Marlins. If there are posts or posters that annoy you, best ignore them and move on.

Ahh don't worry about it. Like 3/4 times a year we get 2 or 3 guys who come on cry,complain or say the same stuff then vanish. We have a IGNORE feature and it works great!!

Sucks about Prado and sounds like he will be out for months (Aug/Sept?)so they will prolly just shut him down for the year.I havent read mlbtraderumors or twitter yet so. Riddle is coming up but wouldn't mind Rivera DFA and Dean getting a call

We might see movement before July with some of our minor pieces. Some whispers that teams like Texas/Toronto/KC are gonna sell so we are trying to get ahead of them

Have gotten calls on alot of guys. Even got a call or 2 on Bryan Holaday(hope we don't fight over $100,000 like Jeff did with AJ). JT/Bour/Bearclaw have been most popular.

LAA/Milwaukee/Minnesota/Seattle/SF have been talking with us

Teams who have called on JT are Minn/Toronto/NYM/Wash/Hou/Arizona/SD (NOTHING is close however)

Wouldn't be surprising to see LAA get a SP(Urena/Straily/Chen) and/OR RP(Ziegler/Bearclaw) from us according to my "janitor" friend

Seattle got Span and Colome yesterday. We were talking about DD and RP with them so likely done with them for now.

I guess some people are just jealous. I didn't hear this rumors anywhere. I can see we trading DD and bringing up Dean.

I hope we bring Anderson back to 3B, bring Dean up. I don't think Riddle has anywhere to play yet unless we trade Castro.

They just say I lie UNTIL twitter or a site mentions it weeks later then I copied it from them but posted it weeks before. People don't believe it until a "national" name says it

We really weren't very close with Seattle-like Mish said we liked Evan White LY and thats who we kept asking for. Wayy to much for DD and a RP like Ziegler-maybe Bearclaw

Smart play would be call up Riddle/send down Rivera and 60 Day Prado and call up Dean
