Straily with a decent outing for Jax today. he'll be back for the weekend. Prado doesnt seem much further off, though he's still in Jupiter. Riddle made his first rehab start today, and Hernandez making a rehab start for Jupiter and will probably need another 2 starts after that. Chen probably with one more start for Jax and then back next week.

went back to NBA for the brief second i saw him take out wittgren, but its pretty clear to any informed baseball fan that he is quite literally using our bullpen in the complete opposite way as they should be used. he is a horrific manager. the only solace that we can take is that it hopefully comes in a year after which he will be fired because his bullpen usage has truly been bad for like 3 years now. its as if he plans on using his worst arms as often as possible and preferably in high leverage situations and his best arms as least often as possible and mostly in meaningless situations. i dont get why baseball and football are continually the 2 sports that have so many analytics yet continue to trot out these "roster management" retread managers/head coaches. its not to say that theres nothing to be done with weekly/daily player management, but mattingly makes wrong choice after wrong choice. it really should be that hard to both play the statistically right choice while being a players manager. why the fuck is that such a hard combo? it really is not fucking rocket science.
