IMO, Spencer and Frisaro seem less in touch with Marlins than the average fan. The chances of Alcantara coming up are zero. Richards was going to be added to the roster on Monday for his start vs. Boston. There was no reason to make that move until then because it allowed the team to carry a fifth OF (Lee) or a third catcher until then. Note: Wallach's 8 K's in two games has to be a record. Why the hell Lee was placed on the roster over Galloway is a mystery to me. Props to Maybin and Rojas for their patience at the plate (six walks between them.)

The eric reed comparison for braxton lee earlier is both random and spot on. I dont see him ever becoming more than a 4th OF with that being too high unless his hit tool is better than it seems or he can play all 3 OF spots really well.

Caleb smith also looked really solid last night. could be a decent 4/5. Him and Jarlin give us some more hope that our rotation wont be a complete black hole. If they do call up Alcantara they better not do it for more than just a game. just let the kid develop.

Yes! The changeup was the new feature - hadn't been throwing it much in the spring. Garcia also featured lots of offspeed stuff - something he didn't do out of the pen last year. With Peters, the Marlins could have three really good southpaws. On B Lee. He's a fantastic defensive OF. Led all of baseball (both minors and majors) with 18 assists last season.

Is Brinson still getting Skipworthless comps?? Jarlin Garcia needs to stay in MLB SP or RP.

Alcantara reportedly starting in a minor league game right now which would line him up for AAA opening day so he wont be the guy today. Maybe they add richards to the 40 man for tonight.

Mattingly doesn't like Telis behind the plate. This is pretty well know-reason I think Telis is still on roster is #1 he is out of options and #2 Left Handed Bat on bench
