tyler kolek doesnt get nearly enough discussion for worst draft picks in team history. a truly abysmal pitcher even in low a ball. right up there with skipworth, moran, and berry. honorable mention to the 2005 draft where they had 5 first round picks, took 5 pitchers, all of whom sucked.

A bunch of roster moves coming tonight according to Mish, including DFA Simon and Mervis. I know see why the cubs gave up on mervis, not that brujan is anything. Turns out being a major league hitter is really hard.

Also, Sandy has been fucking dreadful in almost every single start this year. They should not trade him at the deadline unless there is a massive improvement.

this team is a fucking embarassment. the crowd last night was the lowest in baseball this year, and there are 2 teams playing in minor league stadiums currently. Just a bad franchise. Impossible to be a fan of. Also, im barely watching but the manager looks pretty incompetent in his decision making from what ive seen thus far.

And to cap it all off, read an article that listed kyle stowers as a potential trade piece at the deadline and that the only 2 guys likely not available are Eury and Ramirez.

Just beyond irrelevant as a franchise.

I’m gonna nitpick about the attendance last night.

I’m in Las Vegas. I was supposed to fly home yesterday. My flight (and many others) to Miami was cancelled yesterday because of “the weather in Miami”. I also heard on the broadcast that one of the umpires from yesterday’s game didn’t make it to the ballpark because of the weather. All of this probably had something to do with the ridiculously low attendance? O

could be that in combination with the joke of a franchise playing in a stadium that is in a terrible location for broward and palm beach fans plus the team being a bottom 5 team in baseball with no intention of ever spending money to compete. Baseabll has never really worked in this market, but sherman has completely broken whatever was left of it here.
