i'm not sure how long they can keep going with him in the rotation. gotta try something new with him because it's been the same story for about 3 straight years now between injuries and just shit performance. not that the team cares about the win loss record this year but gotta do something before what was once an asset becomes someone they need to get rid of. definitely not an asset anymore obviously but feels like they could possibly salvage him in the bullpen if things go right. this is clearly not working.

that stowers moment on saturday was really cool. Elias trading him and Norby for a guy in trevor rogers who hasnt been good in 4 full years is a fireable offense.

wheels are falling off for almost all of the guys who had hot starts other than Stowers. Lopez cant hit, Mervis always looked like someone who the bottom could fall out from due to his K rate, Edwards is slumping, wagaman is mediocre. Sanoja needs to be given an everyday chance to play. Same with Myers. I've seen enough of Jesus Sanchez for this lifetime. He is what he is, which is a highly mediocre at best baseball player who has 0 baseball IQ

The pitching has also been shit outside of Meyer. Every single guy who has started a game for us this year has a WHIP above 1.65 and outside of Bellozo at 4.97, everyone has an ERA above 6 with 3 of them having an ERA above 8.

I'd rather give Sanoja the ABs over an almost 30 year old Dane Myers and his .432 BABIP.

Or do something very unexpected and that the Marlins rarely do and get very aggressive and promote Kemp Alderman.

I gotta give Dane Myers this, though…….the guy definitely has a flair for the dramatic. He regularly gets big hits in big spots. That’s probably why he’s still getting AB’s at his age

I also wouldn't even say Edwards is slumping. His K and BB% are basically in line with his career. He even has an above average BABIP.

He just isn't the luckiest hitter in baseball.

I totally get not wanting to give him AB’s over a younger player but Myers is making that very difficult to do.
