If Alcantra can have a 2022ish first half combined with a reliever having a good season it'd be a good package.
Marcelo Mayer is a SS and a top 15 prospect in baseball. Bregman doesn’t play ss, and Trevor story’s bloated contract isn’t blocking him, nor has anything they have done hurt his value. Roman Anthony is a top 5-10 prospect in baseball. You’re maybe getting one of those guys for him if you’re lucky. You’re not getting both. Can you point to another trade in recent history where the team got 2 top 15 prospects in baseball in return? They just traded teel and more for crochet to be their ace. They would be dumb to not just see wha they have in the 3 ridiculous top 15 prospects in baseball they have given the surplus value of great players under team control. Add those guys to devers and raffaela and they have a crazy good core

you’re looking more like maybe one of Anthony/campbell/meyer plus Franklin arias plus a couple other fliers.

Yeah Todd it was a bit of a weird pivot from “Sandy isn’t elite” to we will get Boston’s top 2 (highly coveted) prospects for Sandy.

We can definitely get one of them but not both

Of Edward Cabrera’s first 13 pitches today , 2 of them were strikes.

and he’s out of the game before recording an out. Announcers are saying possible blister

Cabrera has been such a disaster. It's really too bad they didn't trade him when they had the chance to get something of value for him.

Hell of a first round pick by dipshit boy genius gm. Morlando immediately got hurt last year and immediately hurt now this year as well

Juan Pierre is managing the team today in the Spring Breakout game. It’s on MLB Network.

                White's the real deal.

                2 IP 0 Runs 1 Hit 0 BBs 3 Ks

I feel the same way about him as I felt about Eury.

The 1 hit was a ground ball that White stuck his glove out on. If he lets it go it’s an easy out for middle infielder

Salas just hit one that would be gone in any ballpark on any other day. Unfortunately the wind is whipping in from Right Field.

I mean you can't really blame him for an injury. A pretty minor injury to his non throwing hand at that.

He’s a high schooler with no real impact tools with two immediate injuries. Minor or not, hes off to the worst possible start from a guy who is supposed to be a great judge of talent. The guy is in way over his head. You all will realize that eventually. He has been a disaster thus far

Sandy no ER’s in 4 innings.

They had to bring out a L-Screen for Declan Cronin

Ya man, bendix is great and has no responsibility for this shit team and his shit picks and trades. No responsibility for his shit arraez return immediately having a major hip injury and the other two having awful years. No responsibility for tanking in a sport with a lottery. No responsibility for the way he has flat out bungled every communication with the media. No responsibility for gutting every proven piece on the team in this market yet again. The guy is a fucking dope in way over his head, you just won’t admit it until he gets let go for the next savior. Just like you gave me shit for saying the arraez trade indicated a major 3+ year rebuild until it was too obvious to deny any more.

it doesn’t make you a better fan to deny reality. He’s taken a mediocre team with some building blocks and a bad farm into a mediocre farm with a terrible major league roster and alienated the fan base yet again. This is the worst position this franchise has ever been in, and that’s saying something. And that’s before trading sandy, which we all know they will.

now with Sanchez out for a month this is going to be one of the most pathetic major league opening day rosters in quite a while. And for what? A mediocre farm system with no legitimate star level prospect aside from maybe Thomas white who was here before he got here?
