edward cabrera doesnt look like he will ever put it together. not exactly young anymore and has 0 control. will have stretches where he looks dominant but you cant count on that guy. maybe he has an andrew miller esque awakening one day

You give him every opportunity to stick, but I say if he's still struggling come mid-season, try him in the bullpen.

For sure, but he just has such awful inconsistent control. Hope he turns it around at some point but you can’t count on it anymore

Derek Hill needs to start every game against LHP until he shows he can’t hit LHP

I’d argue that Dominguez (LF), Will Warren (SP) and 2 lottery tickets is enough to get Sandy but you’re right that it’s very unlikely NYY empties their Top 100 prospects for him.

NYY is in a serious predicament, though, with Cole likely gone for 18 months

they will be fine. they signed fried, have rodon, schmidt is good, and stroman was already their 6th starter. plus they beefed up their bullpen with Williams. If they hang around they will get someone at the deadline. The loss of soto will be more devastating to their year than cole. Plus Stanton has no legs left but they will miss his power as well.

Sandy is worth a fuck ton. They will wait till the deadline to move him for a huge haul. If he is healthy and back, his innings eating ace level talent combined with 2 more years of absurdly affordable contract will get an enormous package. I hope it's the red sox.

I'm hoping he repeats his 2022 form to the deadline, Boston is in it, and they can get a package like Roman Anthony, Marcelo Mayer, Luis Perales, and Yoelin Cespedis. Would even throw in a reliever.

There is 0 chance they would get that package. That’s bostons next betts bogarts benintendi. Maybe you get one of those top guys but they aren’t dealing multiples, especially after getting crochet for a huge prospect haul as well

Small sample size of course, but Joe Mack is 6-16 in the spring. Would love to see him in AAA to start the season.

Otto Lopez hit 2 HRs today

Mervis hit another dong. That’s 3 this spring

Mervis was definitely a solid flyer to take.

Perales and Cespedes are both 3ish years away at a minimum.
The Red Sox have also kind of hurt Mayers value because every move they have made has blocked his path to the big league roster, especially with the latest move for Bregman.
If Alcantra can have a 2022ish first half combined with a reliever having a good season it'd be a good package.
