Fun fact, I got kicked out of a Bennigans in 2003 when Kerry Wood hit that playoff home run. Let's get weird.
I somehow ended up in a Luxury Suite (those were not the tickets I bought) to watch the Classic NLDS Game 3 at Pro Player. (or whatever it was called back then)

I then ended up watching Game 4 of the NLCS in like the last row of the upper deck in RF. We got killed.

        • the arraez/tony gwynn numbers through 536 games are insane.

          Arraez is at - .326/.379/.427/.806, 24 HR, 201 RBI, 172 BB
Gwynn was at .327/.380/.426/.806, 22 HR, 205 RBI, 174 BB

          • Arraez announced as starting tomorrow.

This is a real interesting predicament if he has to DH and can't field. Because they can't start DLC, Jazz, Sanchez, and Soler at the same time.... unless Jazz just draws a 2B start which would be completely wild at this stage of the year. I guess they could also just bench DLC for Hampson or Wendle. Hopefully Arraez is just fine.

the easy call is to bench the guy who cant hit, field, or run the bases, and it's not the guy with the bum ankle. It's a righty on the mound, if Arraez has to DH, you go Jazz in center, Sanchez in right, Soler in LF, bell at 1b, Edwards at 2b, and Hampson at SS. They better not fucking start wendle in a playoff game just because there is a righty on the mound.

              • I thought they didn’t want to Start Soler the field either with the injuries he has.

                      Tickets are reasonable

I bought 4 tickets to both games (October 11th and 12th) in Section 320 and Section 322.

                      True Row 3 (Row C)

$181 per game for 4 people after fees/taxes

Now they just need to make the NLDS

Identical. Only difference was that Gwynn stole a lot of bases when he was Arraez' age.

This is a good point and hopefully a best case scenario he is fully good to go. What a mess

                          • Per Fangraphs, Eury is potentially available should we advance to NLDS. I was not aware of that.

                            • woodruff out for the brewers with a shoulder injury. nothing we would have done would have mattered yesterday, but would have been a much easier road against the brewers and dodgers than the phillies and braves.

You definitely are starting Berti every game but yes I know that was an inadvertent oversight.

And not picking a fight here as obviously you have a thing about DLC, but DLC led the team in PA (627) and was 54th in baseball in playing time (which also blows my mind). I'll be shocked if they bench this guy now no matter what any of us may think or want. Statcast thinks he underachieved by 36 OPS points and that he performed as a .269/.315/.438 hitter FWIW. I mention because the Marlins clearly are pretty analytical when it comes down to him and must believe at worst, he's a league average hitter (54th percentile xOBA). Which isn't exactly "he can't hit." He's totally fine inside the batter's box for who he is even if we all want more IMO. But then yea, he becomes a total unmitigated disaster when he steps outside of the batter's box. He ended up a 5th percentile base runner and 6th percentile defender which is just hilariously bad for a guy with a 60th percentile sprint speed and 68th percentile arm strength. I think the Marlins are just going to continue to unapologetically play him despite any arguments about the defense and base running because they just believe in the bat and presumably believe he is better than a bottom 5% runner/fielder or will be eventually. It just is what it is and we can pray he goes on one of those three week benders as that would be REALLY GREAT right now. Also fun, the two players directly ahead of him on statcast in xwOBA are I kid you not Trea Turner and Carlos Correa. That is` bananas.

Also a fun list - the only players around DLC in PA with as as low of overall production are Meneses, Benintendi, ironically Bell (he was exceptionally bad before getting here), A. Vaughn. MJ Melendez, J. Abreu, D. Smith, and S. Perez. Quite a grouping here of name brand players.

Let's just hope Arraez is really healthy and Luzardo throws a 77 pitch CG shutout.
