I think all of jazz’s at bats tonight came against a lefty and it was the best he’s looked against a lefty in his entire career. Great hustle on the two infield singles, absolute bomb in the 8th, and don’t forget he barely missed a homer earlier in the game

Tanner Scott throws with a clear level of more confidence when he has more than a 1 run lead. Still much better than last years experience in the closer role but the way he attacks guys with a 2+ run lead is how he should always pitch

Tremendous win. With urias gone, we have lance Lynn and a fill in the next two nights. This was a huge win against kershaw who clearly didn’t have it tonight. Luzardo looked great. Need good Cabrera tomorrow. Don’t love that matchup though

the guardians really fucked us over claiming those guys. Giolito is whatever, but matt moore and reynaldo lopez would have been huge boosts to the pen. Not even 6 days later and they are out of it and quite frankly they were out of it when they made the claims. Lopez and moore in place of hoeing and another bullpen arm would be pretty big boost late in the year. both are real high quality relievers

not sure why but we are going with chargois as an opener tonight and then i guess cabrera for hopefully 5-6 afterwards. Maybe the hope is to have him avoid betts, freeman, and whatever other all star they have hitting 3rd and then get him the middle to bottom of the order and only have him face that top 3 at most 2 times. makes sense, but chargois hasnt exactly been lights out. hopefully it works.

i think it is just praying that he can get out of the first and it then allows cabrera to have to face betts, freeman, and smith 1 fewer time. If they use Soriano or hoeing for just 1 inning it kind of seems like a waste given they can provide innings in a blowout. Makes sense on paper, but chargois needs to execute for it to work. I dont like the cabrera matchup at all with the dodgers in his first game back but who the fuck knows with him at this point. His control wasnt exactly fixed in AAA but he has wild swings so maybe he has a good night and can keep us in the game.

Lance lynn has been better with the dodgers but has had 2 mediocre to bad outings in a row so hopefully we can tag him for some runs. I want to see edwards tonight but i doubt we do.
