we have given up exactly 5 or 6 runs in all 7 games since the all star break.

Jean segura is hitting .319 with a .771 OPS since coming back from the IL. Id move him up in the order. Switch something up. Maybe put DLC down in the order to give the bottom of the order a little more power. Obviously he was terrible the first few months but he looks back to his usual self from the last 8 years. Since coming back his numbers still suck overall but he's raised his average from .190 to .223 and his OPS from .493 to .563. OBP has gone from .259 to .285, slugging from .234 to .277. Needs to start getting more extra base hits though.

Wtf was cueto doing in his rehab outings? He’s throwing like 3-4 mph harder all of a sudden

The only explanation is he was holding something back in his rehab starts, but if that were true why didn’t he say, hey guys don’t worry I’m not going 100% in these games so I don’t need to rehab for 2 months.

The issue with cueto now is how can we count on him to do this moving forward? If he can be who we thought he was going to be coming into the year, that takes a huge hole and fixes it and we can address the bullpen and offense more aggressively. Idk how you can rely on that though. I guess he will have 1-2 more starts before the deadline to give us a better idea

Not sure but if he can be anything close to what he was last year for the rest of the year that is a pretty enormous addition. 9 scoreless innings since coming back from the il. Not having to trade for a starter and instead being able to focus on hitting and relief pitching would be enormous
