Not really. He was awful when he first came to Miami and for the first part of 2022. He has been a lot better since he came back from injury in August of last year and even then his ERA hovered around 4 until a few good starts to finish out the year.

If Luzardo comes good I will be ecstatic. But I think people are being a bit too optimistic and need to temper expectations.

That's not true. Last April he threw 20 innings, 3.10 ERA, 28 k's, 9 walks, 1.08 WHIP, then he got hurt in his 2nd may start, was great in his rehab starts, then dominated last august and september.
