I'm not sure why that gets ignored.

I'll eat crow on Luzardo if I have to. But I am going to need more than a handfull good starts. Maybe he has turned a corner, maybe it's a purple patch. I am going to wait

The Marlins took a likely reliever as the centerpiece of the trade?

its been a full calendar year of luzardo ptiching extremely well.

Not really. He was awful when he first came to Miami and for the first part of 2022. He has been a lot better since he came back from injury in August of last year and even then his ERA hovered around 4 until a few good starts to finish out the year.

If Luzardo comes good I will be ecstatic. But I think people are being a bit too optimistic and need to temper expectations.
