I think it was just hit in the worst possible spot. I don’t think segura thought they’d be able to turn two with the way the infield was positioned.

A little late on this, but I have no idea what clicked with nardi but he has been great since the first series of the year. He was terrible last year and bad his first few outings but he has been very impressive lately

I'm wrong. Expected runs:

2 outs and 3rd - 20%
1st and 2nd and 1 out - 17%

Segura did the right thing theoretically. I suppose the real time assessment is who is up next as that is a real small percentage difference and effective coin flip. So it's all lineup dependent.

In any event, Soler definitely wants to get paid next year.

It is truly remarkable luck. But the bullpen looks very solid. Just keeps going back these folks know what to do with the pitching and they should hire an entire new front office for the hitters.

The feel of the club with skip here is so much better than Donny. Maybe they just needed a change, but the in game decisions have been so much better too. The team feels more lively

Floro and Puk have come in this year throwing strikes in the backend of the pen and it’s refreshing to see.

No more Tanner Scott in those situations please even though he saved one of the 1-run wins.

We’re definitely getting lucky, but also the bullpen’s better. I don’t think this team is good, but hopefully we keep winning most of the games we’re supposed to win. That would be different from the past couple of years.
