Hard to see where the Marlins match up with Braves going forward. In addition to being better at every position on the field, Atlanta even has the better, if not deeper, starting rotation. Bullpen goes easily to Atlanta as well. The only shot I see is focus on putting quickness all over the field and going small ball (the opposite of what Miami tried to do the last few years).

Perhaps the Marlins are paying a big price for Alcantara's lofty innings total this season. His first half ERA was under 2.00. In the second half he has reverted to a more pedestrian 4.00.

If anything, it's impressive that Kim has built a 1-run loss machine.

Sadly it seems she chalks that up to just luck......I dont expect a busy offseason if she just thinks the luck will turn around with all the same players back.

this is not a 1 run loss luck thing. losing by 1 run is what happens when the only positive this team has is a starting rotation. When you cant hit, and you have no bullpen, you should lose by 1 run very often. This is not a fluke team with a losing record undeserved. this team is terrible. they have 1 positive aspect and 2 terrible aspects.

please do whatever possible to get edward cabrera healthy going into next year. He and luzardo plus garrett and eury make pablo expendable enough to get some bats. They have enough pitching. contrary to what lou says, while next year there will be innings limits, you worry about that in the offseason and sign a back end starter to eat some innings and you immediately deal pablo for the best 2 bats you can get. he is the obvious guy to deal. they have enough pitching next year with 1 signing, and the need for hitting greatly outweighs the production pablo brings. please god make this team smart enough to deal him for 2 starting bats next year.

I never said it was a fluke team calm down. I’m acutely aware of how bad the offense is.

32 one run losses in the first week of Sept is a bit fascinating, however, that’s why I kept mentioning it
