I have no trust in this organization can trade for bats. We haven't got a single hitting prospect that has done well. Brinson, Harrison, Diaz, Lewin Diaz, Jesus Sanchez, etc

Little early to throw Lewin and Sanchez in that mix. Jazz has done ok, although currently stumping, they traded for him, in almost this exact scenario.

If we don't trade for bats, how do we acquire them? Drafting has been equally hit or miss, and there's a wait involved. We're not going to build a good lineup through Free Agency, so literally how do we do it, if not a trade?

I get it, we have to trade arms for bats.... but I just don't see them doing the right thing.

Jesus Sanchez will probably end up being very good and way too early to judge Lewin.

He had an .800 OPS in his first 125 ABs at AAA. He had a breakout season in 2019. I don’t love Lewin as a prospect, but I don’t see how you could say he hasn’t been productive in the minors.

That OPS was all slugging. He was hitting .236 with a .309 OBP.

He didn't really have a breakout in 2019 either. He had a hot start at AA after starting the season at A+ where he hit poorly and then was awful once he came over to Miami.

His role will not be to get on base it’ll be to do damage. So I don’t know why you’re saying it’s all slugging like that’s a negative. He had an .851 OPS in 500 PAs in 2019. In no league is that awful.
