Our offense is the opposite of good. Lewis Brinson needs to go play for not the Marlins.

It's not like we lost 3 bench bats, its Marte, Anderson, and alfaro sucks but even the drop off from him to Wallach/Leon is significant. Then you get Sixto who might be our best starter and you're just hoping to tread water until these guys can come back.

Funny thing about that Yelich trade. If the Marlins brass would have set their prospect sights lower, significantly lower, the outcome could have been very different. On the Fangraphs Brewers prospect list at the time of the deal, Brinson was #1, Diaz #4. and Harrison #16. RHP's Brandon Woodruff, Corbin Burnes, and Freddy Peralta were at #6, #18, and #23. I mention those three pitchers because they now comprise the best young top three of any rotation in baseball. The Marlins may face a couple of them when visiting Milwaukee next week, a grim reminder of what might have been.

Odd that Mattingly would sit Duvall tonight - seeing that he hit a grand slam off Gausman in his only official plate appearance against the Giants starter. He also had a sac fly. 1-1 with a homer and five rbi. Who needs that shit, right?

Bye bye Berti.
i have to wonder what the circumstances were that got Devers called up over Isan. Devers clearly nowhere near ready. 2 years ago Isan was the no- brained 2nd baseman of the future on the big league club and Devers was doing not great in A-Ball. Very weird.
