I feel like that's the story literally every year. Every year the NL East is hyped up as having all these super teams, and then every year it's teams hovering midpack.

If Cabrera starts in AA and pitches well, would you move him up at the deadline and put him into the pen/spot start duty when needed to ease him into MLB?

He’ll be in AAA I’m pretty sure. Cabrera was ahead of guys like Rogers and Garrett back in 2019. If he hadn’t had the injury issues he would’ve been up by now. So I think anything is on the table.

FWIW I like Devers potential as a table setter at the top. The rankings were a little harsh on him IMO.

In fairness he had a rough but terrible year as an 18 year old in A ball(.273/.313/.332) but He held his own as a 19 year old in High A. He wasn't outstanding but wasn't completely overmatched(.325/.384/.365).

I dont know that he will be able to play as a regular but there are reasons to be optimistic. The Marlins have been fairly aggressive with him.
