I would say the 0 runs and 1 hit are probably a better indicator.

Fair. I should have said a microcosm of a lost season. Yadier Molina only starts because his name is Yadier Molina. He has been a replacement level player for a while now and has been one of the worst hitters at his position for almost a decade.

I might just hate the Cardinals and everything about them and get frustrated when the Marlins lose to them as they often do.

Because it's amusing to see y'all make projections on players, yell at those that disagree with you, then see you guys eventually, begrudgingly admit that person was right...you don't come right out but most of the time it's and in dribbles which makes it even sweeter. I think you all miss the fact that I do love the team, but after 29 seasons it turns into a sport itself watching the cocky & arrogant idiots fall flat on their face about how they treat players...you know who he is....

Take yesterday...St Louis walked Cooper, to get to other people in our lineup - yet one person has trashed Cooper to no end, said he's worthless, wants him off the team, etc yet St Louis would rather face our other hitters than take him on.....I'm not saying he's a world beater, but this person continues to trash Coop, but showers praise on these others because of "potential", by the way none of the fielders (except perhaps Chisholm) is showing much despite the hyperventilating this person does over these guys.

The team looks on its way to another 100+ loss year. 4th year of a rebuild & a 100+ loss season....you will have to really overpay to get any free agents to come here, and I'll make a bold prediction....Sherman forces Jeter out & hires someone from the Rays organization to replace him....that is if Sherman wants to increase profits....but as we know he's already going to be raking in many millions with the new contracts signed...maybe he's happy with making the money over winning, who knows but the window is just a couple of years now....that pitching staff is going to want to get paid, and soon.

Oh by the way no commitment to our future so far...no "core" rebuild guys have signed before arbitration so far....and if you say there isn't the talent to sign, well who's to blame for that ??? In 4 seasons they have failed to really get our future secured....you folks don't get to attached to some of the pitching guys....they'll have to trade some away to do some face saving...to be so bereft of talent in certain positions, well the organization looks as messed up as any Loria team was.

As has been mentioned, we would tolerate you if you came by during 4 game win streaks but your tired act of only showing up when things are bleak makes you irrelevant.

I have been here when they've won....but you gotta admit we haven't had many 4+ game win streaks

if you're referring to me I've called cooper our best hitter for like 2 years now. You're not a fan, you're a sad lonely guy who likes to revel in your own misery

I'm also trying to figure out who he's referring to with the Cooper comment. I mean I've suggested trading him, but not because he's bad, but because having both him and Aguilar on the team is redundant.

I'm pretty sure for every position player that's come through this roster the past few years, I can name at least one poster who has trashed that player for one reason or another... but I truly can't think of one for Cooper. He's pretty much been appreciated from the get-go and since he broke out I think most people here have wanted him to play more?

Speaking of Cooper, he needs to play every day. If we are going to force Duvall into the lineup before we release him, I'd rather have him spot Aguilar than Cooper.

completely agree on cooper, been saying so for a while. the guy who needs to go is Dickerson. I just don't see what he brings to the table. He's not bad by any stretch of the imagination but he's not good either. he's kind of just a guy. And he absolutely should never be batting leadoff. Rojas should be the everyday leadoff guy followed by marte and then whatever combo of Cooper, Anderson, aguilar, and duvall are in the lineup on that particular day.

Neidert is the one pitching today, correct? I think we get back on track today hitting wise now that we are out of our ballpark.

Really. Trade any of the older RP who have value. Aguilar, Cooper, Alfaro, Rojas, Dickerson, Duvall. All should go on the deadline.

The Blue Jays have a catcher surplus. The Rangers have a bunch of guys who could likely slot right into the pen. Cooper and Aguilar would be attractive to AL clubs. Rojas as a super utility guy. A team like the White Sox might be interested in Alfaro.

                          Just burn it down.

I honestly don't foresee a ton of interest in the guys you mention. Marte probably has the most value. If you could trade Marte and then convince him to come back on a one year deal in 2022, that might be something worth exploring.
