He did just hit 98 though.

Also, Garrett Cooper out with a reaction to the Covid-19 vaccine? smh.
Jordan Holloway called up again, despite doing nothing to warrant it again. He pitched 1 inning in Spring Training.
He is a good power RP with iffy command I wish they would just say thats what he is and deal with it

awful first inning for rogers but he really settled down nicely. clearly had jitters and with no fans in the stands last year it was his first start with family in attendance so understandable. he still looked so much improved from what I thought he would be coming up through the minors. We might legitimately have a 5 man rotation in the very near future filled with all guys who can be top 2-3 in good rotations for playoff teams- sixto, sandy, pablo, rogers, Meyer eventually, and then cabrera if he ever pops back up. We are in a really strong position, especially if jazz pans out as it seems like he will and bleday comes up and performs as expected. Then throw in a consistent good but not spectacular Anderson and a few other pieces and we have a really great core.
they need to spend on a shutdown bullpen arm. Especially coming off a covid year in which we knew we were gonna have to baby these arms a lot this year, it is inexcusable that they didn't spend on one of the bigger names available this offseason to create a shutdown pen. that needs to change next year.
If we get a legit long term catcher and spend like a major league team on the bullpen, we're a legitimate title contender as soon as next year, but that's a big if and the front office needs to prove they are willing to spend right now when this core is cheap and a championship window is theoretically open in the next 3-4 years.

also, dickerson can go for all i care. if we bring up bleday in June or July, I hope he is the one to go. he is the definition of an average player. he should not ever be hitting leadoff. Ive shit on rojas for years as a hitter but he has made legit improvements and he should be hitting leadoff nightly. LIneup should be Rojas, Marte, Anderson, Cooper/Aguilar, Jazz, Duvall, Dickerson, Alfaro.
Also, Berti is a decent utility guy but jazz needs to be playing everyday. If he's gonna be up here, he needs to be in the lineup getting reps. Berti is versatile enough, have him give rojas, Anderson, and any of the OF's the day off, not jazz. Hope that was just to give Berti a start early in the year and not the start of a lot of playing time for Berti at the expense of Jazz.

I personally think the bullpen could have been just as good built from within.
The additions of Campbell, Curtiss, and Pop were nice and I think they are decent. Hernandez would be better in the pen. Castano as a lefty. Holloway if he can pitch like last night. I would have held on to Brice and Dugger as well.Amy Adams, AKA Cinnamon MuffLogan Morrison: "If baseball didn't exist, I would probably be ... like a curler. Or a hairstylist."

Project Wolverine in full flush (down the toilet). By the way, the plan (actual plan) is working. A lot more media $$$, low payroll, naming rights $$$, luxury tax $$$ = sustainability (quoted word from Jeter's 1st press conference). They make huge profits without selling a ticket. Any fools paying for tickets are gravy on top. That's what you call total "sustainability".
Yep, same old Marlins, same old cynical Maddawg, and the reason y'all get so angry is deep down you know I serve, at the very least, grains of truth.
