Looks very bleak for MLB season. In the extremely unlikely event that only Marlins are effected, our JV's might be better than the varsity.

this also pretty much should guarantee no shot of nfl or ncaa football games until this shit is under control. it is another inexcusable lack of leadership for nfl players to be starting training camp this week. out of all sports that's just about the dumbest fucking thing imaginable. basketball should be fine in the bubble.

ya the plan sucked and the players clearly werent following it. if you looked at the dugout the guys were all right next to each other and they were high fiving each other and shit likely out of habit but still. the rules werent enuogh in the slightest, the testing protocols were wholly inadequate, and the players werent following them enough. a recipe for disaster. do i get credit for being right now namaste?

However, even with the knowledge that Urena and multiple others were stricken, I saw many unprotected faces in the Marlin dugout yesterday. In hindsight, that wasn't a good look.

On a high note, it appears that Miguel Rojas has won the batting crown for the 2020 season! Major League leading .750 average.

Like said weeks ago this is going to be a clusterf*ck-they are talking about cancel season but more likely until another team or 2 gets this it looks like a Marlins patchwork squad with 15 ML players and a mix of others will just play.

Hanley?Chen?Henderson? Could be see lots of old friends back here

Marlins actually wanna play but an issue they are having and talking to MLB is what to do with guys not on 40 man and all. If u add guys like Northcraft/C/Jerar/Devers they have to stay on 40 man or DFA people-Marlins trying to see if they can add guys without DFA when healthy guys are back

These guys are not prepared for a season. This is exactly why we have a 60 player poool. No way Hanley, Chen or Handerson plays with the Marlins this week.

lol give me a break. there is 0 chance they dont cancel this season within the next few days. not only will we be playing at a competitive disadvantage but this would also require us to start the service time for prospects unfairly because of a pandemic

They got 30 guys sitting in Jupiter the issues are service time/what happens when these guys are healthy and 40 man/adding new guys

They can call 15 guys up quick but when these 15 are back then u have 55 on a 40 man roster(Marlins would have to make decisions and lose guys?)

This has to be concerning for the NFL as well. It's because Americans are too independent & libertarian in their thinking. The Objectivist philosophy of Ayn Rand that was the pillar of Reganomics has so culturally distorted America, now this crisis has shown how weak & vulnerable our society has become. Now it even has spilled over into the sports arena, because of the desire to put profits over human life & well being.
