Jesus as well. Once the service time implications are over I want him in there as well. Lewin at 1b, monte in cf, Jesus in rf. Aguilar to the bench, isan and villar switching off as 2b/dh, and then cooper getting the occasional start at 1b against tough lefties.

Wasn’t talked about yesterday but it’s inexcusable for Diaz to be out of the lineup for berti. Berti stinks and isan might as well for all we know but the priority must be evaluating guys for the future.

    C- Alfaro
1b- Lewin with cooper getting the occasional start
    2b- Diaz/villar
    Ss- rojas
    3b- anderson
    Lf- Dickerson
    Cf- monte
    Rf- Sanchez
    Dh- villar/diaz

Jon Berti had a 1.7 WAR in 73 games in 2019. He doesn’t stink.

I dont think Berti stinks, but I agree Diaz should be in the lineup.

Stinks might be a bit overstated but the guy is a 30 year old career minor leaguer with a career minor league ops of .703 in over 3000 abs. He didn’t all of a sudden become an mlb starter, especially at the expense of a top prospect on a bad team

They’re not going into the 2nd game of the season with the mentality that they’re a bad team though. Berti outperformed Diaz last year. Diaz is going to have to start hitting eventually.

Ya gotta give him more than one game.

Urena out. Duggar starting. This is going to be a crazy 60 games.

Mish reporting marlins are having a covid problem but he isn’t reporting the extent of it. Who could have seen that coming? Mlb is gonna need to seriously fix this testing frequency and the time it takes for the tests to come back or this season won’t finish

There needs to be a bigger picture though. Putting berti in there after one game is inexcusable

Hey man saying urena plus two starters tested positive. Harold Ramirez is probably one. Who is the other?

Today's Fox South broadcast of the Phillies/Marlins game has been preempted to allow the network to bring us the intrasquad game at Jupiter.

                    I wish.

Isan Diaz certainly has a fan club here. He hit nada after his call up last season. Nada in March. And nada in July.

Only other regular not in the lineup today is cooper. So is it urena, Harold, and cooper?

They need to start testing daily and getting results back immediately and not 2-3 days or else this season will not end as I have been saying for months now

This is going to be a disaster. If they have it today, that means they had it yesterday and they were playing yesterday. So who knows how many more players are going to get it now...

Yup. Unless they fix the testing protocol and time needed for results this season is fucked. How they thought this would be an acceptable plan that would work for the duration of the season with these guys not in a bubble is idiotic

Seems like this started in Atlanta. They lost 2 catchers, then Alfaro tests positive, now 3 more 2 days after that. The Braves play tonight...I wonder if they will have any late scratches too...

Hopefully all the players recover quickly. It'll be interesting to see if any of these turn out to be a Soto situation. He tested positive and it seems like it is going to be a false positive.

On the other hand, perhaps Monte and Lewin Diaz will be called up tomorrow.

Took the words right out of my mouth. Monte and Lewin will be up id assume if it’s cooper and Harold. Or brinson if he’s ready since he was playing in Jupiter this morning

That was always my question. If someone's got it in the team then you quarentine the whole team? We're seeing this right now. If we have 3 players testing positive, I'm sure they had close contact with more players.

With caution and restrictions on names and testing, the best I can do is tell you the Marlins will likely be without at least three of their position players and one of their pitchers in the coming days. At the same time. Not sure how any team is supposed to overcome this.
