Just downloaded the latest version, been playing it the last couple of days. I used to play back in the day. It's crazy the improvements they've made in the last couple of years. Really fun.

We're actually on v4 now. After the original one crashed we restarted in 2011. We stopped that one a few years ago and did a 1995 league that we stopped after 1 season. Now we're in the 70s, started in 76 and about to finish 1979.

If the MiLB contraction doesn't go through the Marlins should buy 6 MiLB teams and really streamline their process, including building their own spring training complex.

And theoretically they should put teams largely in cities not served by baseball so they can build new fans.

Don't spring training complexes need to be near other teams' complexes?

Pembroke Pines would be closer to the Fort Myers complexes than Jupiter. Plus West Palm has a ST facility now.

I actually dont mind the contraction as it would be getting rid of Clinton and Batavia then combining those rosters to play in July-Sept. Have draft picks,Rookie Ball guys and such in the South. If they are gonna go to a 10-20 Rd Draft it makes sense too

Apparently it’s not confirmed that MiLB is cancelled.

i cant imagine the entire milb season being cancelled. i think even if it is a little different there has to be some sort of minor league competition. Those guys wont just accept not playing for an entire season plus im sure they wouldnt get paid if it was somehow cancelled. Not to mention possible need for injury replacements. I think once we have an idea of the start date we will start to have a better idea of how it will all work. without even a knowledge of a start date and how long the mlb season will be it seems impossible to guess what will end up happening.

If in some crazy world the entire milb season is cancelled it would be a huge setback for us and other rebuilding teams.

There are so many issues that would need to be worked out regarding all facets of organiations. Like what about service time? I think they already said mlb contracts wouldnt delay a year and teams like the dodgers would get fucked in acquisitions of betts but what about prospect service time?

Whatever happens i hope it happens quickly, as long as its safe. no sports really sucks. I have no idea what people who dont like sports do with their time.
