I actually agree with fish. We all know that Brinson will almost certainly regress to what he's been in the majors, but he's still on the team, so you might as well give him one last shot to see if he can carry over another great spring. I don't think Ramirez is ever going to be anything more than a replacement level outfielder, so I wouldn't be worried about giving up his at bats. When Brinson fails, you close the book on him.

Lost on suspension day was Jose Urena's great start. No significant contact and only a swinging bunt hit allowed in five innings. He's the story of spring ... along with Boxberger.
Asa Lacy could be starting in late June for Jupiter - looks that dominant. That's another thing to look forward to.Last edited by Lee Stone; 03-14-2020, 09:08 AM.

As much as it makes me question my own judgement, I agree with fish16 that Brinson should start on Opening Day. I totally understand that we need to start competing soon but we have less than 1% chance of making the playoffs so why not give the guy one last shot at putting up a .750+ OPS in April/May (lol June/July VIRUS FULL PANIC)?

I just got home from a cruise today by the way. 6,000 people eating, drinking and having fun and not one single case of the flu.

We now can’t have gatherings of more than 50 people for 8 weeks. So that takes us to mid May, with another 2-3 weeks at least for pitchers to ramp up. Looking like a start of the season of at least June 1, so this will almost assuredly be a shortened season

It would not be wise for the US to continue to crash their economy by extending quarantines/business closures beyond May/June to combat a virus that kills 5% of those over 60 YOA that contract it. There are probably upwards of 5/10 million Americans who already have it/had it and recovered.

And I’m very skeptical that it kills 5% of those over 60. There are possibly 250,000/500,000 people over 60 that have gotten it and didn’t even know they had it or chalked it up to seasonal flu.

This is random but happened to come across this year old video of yelich on jose and how much it changed everything and it truly is just such an insane thought of just what could have been different if jose just made a different decision that night.
