  • Hugg, I think you overestimate how much a lifetime supply of maple syrup is. Assuming a finite lifespan, you could probably fit a lifetime supple of maple syrup in a Ford F-150.

    • Right but I assume this is enough maple syrup for the entire organization for the life of the organization right? How else would the trade possibly make sense.

      • Would you trade Mike Stanton a lifetime of maple syrup for you personally?

        • Well baseball has a lot of players from Latin America, where maple syrup isn't used as commonly, so at most we're talking about a Ford F-350.

          • Still, that's a long drive.

Plus getting the syrup through customs.

              • Well it's a long drive for an Ontarian.

Also, of course I would trade a lifetime supply of syrup for myself for Stanton. Do you any idea how much more I care myself than the Marlins? I would trade our 2003 championship for a Wii U, and I wouldn't share it with Loria or Samson. .

                • I don't know what the Wii U is.

I am assuming it's a Wii that also picks up ESPN U.

                  • Anyone who wouldn't trade something from their favorite sports team for something that would benefit their day to day life is kinda stupid and takes sports too seriously.

I would trade Stanton from the Marlins for a $50 gift card.

                          $50 dollar gift card? Eh.

That wouldn't improve my day to day life much. I'll say my floor is $200 dollars.

I'd probably do that for the real good maple syrup too. Don't agree with the $50 gift card. I'd use to buy a collared shirt for work that won't even make me happy. People take sports too seriously, but I think we can all agree that the value you get from enjoying sports is probably greater than $50. Like, you pay more than $50 to go to games during a season, ya know?
