  • I disagree. No one will go just to have their hearts ripped out again a fourth time by ownership, as that is what everyone expects as soon as Stanton makes some bucks 3 years from now. They gave up to quickly just because of a bad 2012. What they needed to do was change the culture and keep building. But all they care about is the monies. Epic failure on all levels.

So if the team is in the World Series 3 years from now and Loria is still owning the team, no one is coming, right?

I don't know about anyone else, but I will not go to a single game or pay for any more merchandise so long as Loria owns the team.

There will not be sell outs in September, possibility of playoff games but it won't be a lock

More people would come, but less than in any other market, if 2004 and 2005 are any indication. (Significant uptick in average attendance, but still below NL average.). I guess the question is how much of that is due to distrusting ownership, and how much is due to just being a crappy non-college football market...

In the immediate aftermath I thought I wouldn't be a fan anymore but I can't really control that. But what I can control is my money, and I won't give a dime of it to them so that there can be "more ART for Lurie lol"

As Mainge said, I'm okay with trading players. But I'm not okay with trading good players, elite players at their positions, and getting essentially nothing back except for a pitcher and an outfielder that might be league average someday.

                          • The "revision" is gonna be either a better pitching prospect than DeScalfani,DeScalfani and other prospects(1 or 2),or new prospects all together(We still get Hech,Nicolino).

The thought is even tho the trade has been "reported",its not official so the teams can still make changes. Toronto has no problem sending another prospect or 2 tho as long as what they get is the same so it shouldnt be a big issue

I swore off them after Hanley, and I can safely say I'm done with them as long as Loria's here. There's just no good reason to support them.

                              • I'm not missing a World Series game.

And let's face, if we're in the WS 3 years from now, it's because Loria/FO really did just want a clean slate to start over, did reinvest into the team, and found some studs in this trade.

In which case, all is forgiven.
