They'd have to do this.
Fortes, Stallings
Cooper, Gurriel
Jazz, Berti
Wendle
Segura, ________
DLC
Sanchez
Garcia
Soler
It's basically Groshans makes the team and the backup OF are Berti and Soler. Or maybe they'd sign Profar here.
The net-result of Gurriel is a lame 4th OF or no 5th IF option (if they opted for say Bleday here). Each of those are an issue that shouldn't be a problem opening day versus having these stick-only players (but I guess it worked for Philly?).
This would work for me if its Profar and Reynolds over Sanchez. They'd effectively have Reynolds/Garcia/Soler as every day players and they said they want DLC 500+ PA, so we're talking two starts a week for a backup OF and we can live with that with Berti/Soler/Profar sort of thing. It's still not great and minimal effort here would have produced a better result. Like, just keeping Anderson TBH.

We have to put some weight on this as a long-standing major scouting source, but I find it hard to believe any other talent evaluator is going to put Berry that low. Or maybe this is a huge compliment to Amaya and that is a real steal. Seems like a knee jerk SSS reaction here, and he wasn't even that bad in 2022. I also think it's puzzling Sixto is 6th, but maybe they believe he will one day be healthy.
I wouldn't get too worked up about this one yet.

This seems like a stretch to put him that high when MLB pipeline isn't even ranking him, so this kid is amazing or BP must be super low on the farm. Can't see how Watson and Berry are behind this guy with their draft pedigree. Will be interested in seeing the larger write ups and especially the FG deep dive.

I wouldn't be surprised if he has a low-ball offer or two from the Marlins.
It's going to be lefty-palooza with Luzardo, Rogers, Garrett, Chapman, Scott, Okert, Bleier, and maybe Castano (OOO). Has any staff gone 5 right handers (Sandy, Cueto, Cabrera, Floro, Chargois) / 8 lefties? That would be something.

MLBTR says they are still in on Profar. And that if the Rangers (other interested team) signed him they are really pushing luxury tax.
Quite frankly, that makes sense if he'll take a reasonable 2 year deal.
If Pablo/Scott also turn into Arraez/Kepler, and they sign Reyes and Chapman.... they could be doing this:
2023
Fortes, Stallings
Cooper
Arraez
Jazz, Wendle
Segura, Berti
Profar, DLC
Kepler
Garcia
Soler
Sandy, Luzardo, Cueto, Rogers, Cabrera
Floro, Reyes, Chargois, Enright
Chapman, Garrett, Okert, Bleier
2024 (anticipating a Soler opt-out)
Fortes, _______
_______
Arraez, Profar
Jazz
Segura, Groshans/Edwards/Amaya
Kepler, DLC
______
Garcia, ______
Sandy, Luzardo, Cueto, Rogers, Eury/Cabrera
Meyer, Bender, Sixto, Eury/Cabrera, Enright
Garrett, Okert, Eder
And Profar could just be an OF here if two of Groshans/Edwards/Amaya work out and there is always Sanchez/Bleday/Jerar/Burdick if someone is good. And since Arraez can play 1B even if he would be better at 2B (sigh), all of those blank lines may be figured out besides another catcher internally taking into account some position flexibility all around.
I think we all can point out here the missing piece is Reynolds/Nimmo/Correa/etc., but this is a pretty cohesive, high potential depth chart and they would have done it just moving Pablo so far. It opens up a 2024 pitching trade again, as Fulton is not listed and there might be 4-5 SP in the bullpen here.
More food for though, but Profar is interesting if he's going to play as a steady 1.5+ WAR guy with a little upside. They key is still at least Arraez/Royce from Minnesota and tag along Kepler.

Say it's Lopez, young bullpen arm, and an insignificant prospect for Arraez and Kepler. Sign Profar. Trade Rogers + Eder + Salas + whatever for Reynolds. Sign Chapman.
C- Fortes
1b- Arraez
2b- Jazz
SS- Profar
3b- Segura
LF- Reynolds
CF- Kepler
RF- Garcia
DH- Soler
Bench- Stallings, Berti, Wendle, DLC, Sanchez/Bleday?
SP- Sandy, Luzardo, Cabrera, Cueto, Garrett, and who knows with Sixto, then you have Eury, Meyer next year, and Fulton next year as well.
RP- Chapman, Floro, Chargois, Enright, Scott, Okert, and I guess Bleier?
That's 26. Im sure im forgetting someone, but that lineup adds power with Reynolds and Kepler plus likely bouncebacks or at least regressions of Garcia and Soler, you add a shit ton more contact and average in Segura, Arraez, and Profar, and you ideally get Jazz back for a year.
That's a playoff team.
