  • It seems like a slow, big deadline. The big trade has happened with Soto, but otherwise, it seems kinda slow...though I guess the pace has increased the closer we get to the actual 6pm deadline.

    • I would have taken a shot on Marsh with that price tag - effectively Fulton or Burdick or Morisette

The Reds deal with Mahle seems really light

      • Pablo to the Yankees for prospects a possibility. Would be prospects according to heyman. This could be huge. Get it done ng. Volpe please

        • There’s also a report the Dodgers might make a final push for Pablo. I’m still not expecting a deal, but I hope I’m wrong.

          • A Dodgers/Yankees bidding war would be nice.

            • Dodgers are reportedly out on Pablo so it’s Yankees and one other team. Maybe astros?

              • But it’s feeling like the dodgers thing might be a bluff. They have made two trades in the last hour just dumping guys for nothing…

                • I could see cardinals being the other team too. They need pitching and apparently their manager was just taken off the field by a front office guy there for something which is obviously trade related

                  • its gotta be the yankees. they just traded jordan Montgomery to the cardinals.

                        • It’s hard to say for sure without knowing what offers were out there, but I’d bet dollars to donuts Miami just couldn’t pull the trigger once again.

every fucking deadline they have protected their pitching and we've been shut out like 6 out of 14 games or something stupid. this team is infuriating to root for. they refuse to do anything to improve the lineup.

There is nothing wrong with keeping Pablo.

                              zero.

There is, though, if they had decent offers. We all know how this is going to end. His value will either go down because of another injury and they’ll move him, or they’ll hold him until the deadline before he’s a FA, and they’ll get Pennie’s for him. I hope I’m wrong, but that’s the Marlins way.
