    Meyer - 26th
    Sixto - 28th
    Bleday - 35th
    Jazz - 48th
    Cabrera - 50th
    Rogers - 104th

5 in the top 50 is pretty impressive.

      • Write-Up on Meyer:

Small but electric, Meyer’s upper 90s heat and devastating slider have left scouts drooling, but he’s not without some reliever risk.

I was too low on Meyer before the draft. I saw him up to 101 mph in his first start of the year when he threw a lot of well-located sliders in the 89-92 mph range as he struck out several Oregon Ducks, but his stuff and command waned later in the outing, which gave me relief-risk concern, though I should have realized the context for the look (it was his first outing of the season) was likely at play. He proceeded to dismantle TCU (10 K in 5.2 IP), North Carolina (CG, 1 BB, 14 K), and Utah (8 IP, 15 K) in the following three weeks before the shutdown, mostly with the fastball/slider combo, though he did flash a good changeup on occasion, too. Fold in some of the peripheral projection elements I like to bet on (Meyer was also an important offensive player in college, he’s a great on-mound athlete, and he’s coming from a cold weather school) and you can go nuts projecting on the things (mostly the changeup, command, and in-start stamina) that complete what could be a front-end profile. Even weirder is we have tons of 24-27 yr old guys sitting in AAA

This is our AAA "Pen" right now(Few guys will likely be in AA)
          Holloway
          Guzman
          Eveld
          Stevens
          Bender
          Bugg
          Eibner
          Guillen
          Hock
          Morin
          Remey Reed
          Zach Thompson
          Roberson

          Dylan Lee
          Fishman
          Leibrandt

Seriously they have Bass, Bleier, Brigham, Campbell, Castano, Cimber, Curtiss, Detwiler, Floro, Garcia, Guzman, Holloway, Hoyt, Neidert, and Pop. 15 potential guys in the pen. All going to be on the 40-man, this doesn't include NRIs, and we always have 1 or 2 of those make the team. How many guys are we planning on having in the pen? Spend $5 or $6 million on one guy you know will be good and maybe you don't have to carry 14-15 strictly bullpen arms on the 40-Man.
Tons of guys in ML and AAA Pen-only 4 or 5 cant be sent down

They are in on Jeffress and Rosenthal as well still(Unlikely but have talked) as well as about 4 or 5 vets on Milb deals so would expect more added

Pop is going on 60 Day(they planned this since Dec but cant do anything till certain day)

Other guy no clue? They been trying to trade a bat(Coop/Brinson/Harold) but no offers they liked. Brigham is another option for 60 Day

Also, teams like the Rays and Dodgers have 40 man roster issues so they are targeting players that don’t need to be on the 40 man. Hurt and Edwards are both basically lottery tickets. Hopefully it doesn’t come back to haunt the Marlins, but I’m OK trading them for controllable relievers with a good track record. Also, if the Marlins eventually trade them, they’ll likely get similar value back.
Because most of these guys are 23 already in Low A. The draft is 20 Rds this year u can trade a Hurt or Edwards and easily replace them with a 23 yr old or even younger guy with more control. So #1 they need the space to make room for others and #2 roster crunch starting next year. This is why u see us going after DSL guys in trades instead of older prospects

I liked Edwards but u got Lewin in AAA/ALonso in AA and can put Owings/Ready/Bubba Hollins at 1B in Hi l

I guess if last year proved anything, it’s that you can never have enough bullpen arms.

                  • Fangraphs called Rogers a “stable 2 WAR starter prospect”.

I would also keep starting Guzman as long as there are open rotation spots in AAA.

                        • Meyer?
                          Cabrera
                          Garrett
                          Castano
                          Neidert

Not counting vet or 2 they sign,Cody Poteet,Brady Puckett

I think Roberson should be a SP as well. Not really sure we know anything till rosters come out.

People arent realizing the Marlins have about another 10 guys to add to ST roster, most teams at 75. Last check Marlins were at 63-65 this means gonna be some vet Milb signings with ST invites

Actually just signed this guy. AAA SP Shawn Morimando(Was Top 15 Prospect in Cleveland before something? terrible past few years)

                          • Roberson hasn't pitched above Low-A Ball, so AAA is probably a stretch. I'd put money on him being in the AA rotation.

He is gonna be 25.U gotta start looking at ages of some of these guys. I could see him in the AA rotation but they will have

                              Meyer?
                              Stewart
                              Madero
                              Soriano
                              Guerrero
                              Remey Reed
                              Puckett
                              Andrews
                              Walters

ALL could be SP in AA

The hard thing right now is Miami needs to make decisions on who is a SP and RP. ALOT of guys are SP but should be RP and the opposite as well. Puckett,Roberson,Andrews,Walters,Reed,Hoeing,Maldo nado,Zach King,Guerrero,Eder,Nicolas,McCambley all could be SP in AA or Hi A and some could be in AAA or AA pen

If they think Roberson is a SP then ya AA Rotation but if RP u could see him in AAA pen.Gonna be fun to watch especially since AA/A start in May

                              • Again tj you're doing the thing where you mention a bunch of names, but really only a couple are worth mentioning. The FO is not going to bat an eye if they have to put Remey Reed or Brady Puckett in the AA bullpen.
