Yes I was but if you were there for batting practice you would realize the ball fly's out with the roof closed. Same for game 1 vs. Yankees. Stanton was destroying balls during BP tonight. The roof open and windows open the place just kills fly balls. So I'm not 100% ready to accept what you are saying.

roof open I'll be surprised if there's ever a home run. there were 4 balls I thought were legit home runs that never made it to the warning track tonightOriginally posted by Madman81Most of the people in the world being dumb is not a requirement for you to be among their ranks.

The Yankees played one game with the roof closed.
This is all totally speculative, and nobody can possibly know right now. We're going to begin to find out soon enough.
My guess: It will carry more with the roof closed. But that place is still going to be squarely a pitcher's park, at least when it comes to home run prevention. It may end up making up for it by making various sorts of hits more liable to fall in, but it's going to suppress home runs. It's enormous.
(Sidenote: It would be interesting if someone could figure out how to do the square footage of each major league park and compare them.)Last edited by Bobbob1313; 04-05-2012, 02:38 AM.poop
