Yes I was but if you were there for batting practice you would realize the ball fly's out with the roof closed. Same for game 1 vs. Yankees. Stanton was destroying balls during BP tonight. The roof open and windows open the place just kills fly balls. So I'm not 100% ready to accept what you are saying.

Stanton hit a ball off the top of the left field scoreboard during BP with the roof closed and another off the Budweiser Bar. Roof open is dead zone.

Using batting practice as any indication of whether it's a hitters/pitchers park is dumb.

It's very easy to understand the ball will fly out with the roof closed.

roof open I'll be surprised if there's ever a home run. there were 4 balls I thought were legit home runs that never made it to the warning track tonight

You need to stand on the LF concourse to understand why a ball will never clear the fence. I stood there after the game and there was 5-10 mph breeze coming in.

Yes we are talking about with the roof and window closed.

The Yankees disagree when asked about this
God would be expecting a first pitch breaking ball in the dirt because humans love to disappoint him.

The Yankees played one game with the roof closed.

This is all totally speculative, and nobody can possibly know right now. We're going to begin to find out soon enough.

My guess: It will carry more with the roof closed. But that place is still going to be squarely a pitcher's park, at least when it comes to home run prevention. It may end up making up for it by making various sorts of hits more liable to fall in, but it's going to suppress home runs. It's enormous.

(Sidenote: It would be interesting if someone could figure out how to do the square footage of each major league park and compare them.)

You didn't see Swishers upper deck shot with the roof closed I guess. And Gabby's oppo.
