You realize the shit you are saying is no different than any other managerial situation in the MLB right? You are saying if they are 1-10 that the media and fans would be going crazy over Ozzie but they won't if they win. So if the Red Sox go 0-10 the fanbase over there isn't going to say anything about Bobby V right?

So how does this specific situation impact anything about the team other than just how people might view Ozzie? I think people took his comments out of context anyways so I think the whole thing is stupid to begin with.

Now that this has happened, if the team starts off like terribly, the Cuban American fan base won't be as gentle with him and his antics, because whether you like it or not, he just pissed off thousands of Cubans that call themselves Marlin fans. I can understand why people would be mad at what he said, but honestly, he's a baseball manager, not a political figure.

I don't go to baseball games to watch or listen to the players or coaches political or economic views, I go to watch them play baseball. What they do off the field is not important to me.

Take these people at face value, they are entertainers, and nothing else.
