I met Ozzie Guillen once. He and my dad were having a conversation about the Marlins farm system.

They were talking about an up and coming 1B in the system and they couldn't figure out his name.

I randomly said "Logan Morrison."
Ozzie's response: "Who the fuck are you? Baseball America?" ...and then he started laughing and talking shit about my brother.

This is a true story.

No matter what Ozzie Guillen said in his final news conference as White Sox manager, he plans to announce early Tuesday on his website he will become the next Marlins manager.

His mlb.com blog discussing his exit from the Sox and excitement over joining the Marlins was posted at 10:54 p.m. Monday but pulled down quickly. It remains unclear how long the post was visible. The time stamp at the bottom read "September 27 at 2:28 a.m.''

An excerpt of the entry obtained by the Tribune made it clear what Guillen's next move will be.

"The Florida Marlins believe I am the right man for the job to bring another World Series to South Florida. And just as it has always been with me, winning is my only mission,'' Guillen wrote. "It's good being wanted and more importantly it's good knowing where you stand. Although it's sad my time with the White Sox has ended, I can't tell you how thrilled I am to be a part of the Marlins organization. I have an unbelievable amount of respect for the Marlins, owner Jeffrey Loria, president Larry Beinfest and general manager Michael Hill. I can't thank them enough for this opportunity and look forward to the future. I can't wait to get started."
